Lazio – Rome in the footsteps of the Oscars

Rome, the Eternal city. Because of its splendor, it has been and still is the scene of many of Oscars’ winning movies.

You will spend a day exploring the places that have made some films part of the history of cinema.

The morning will begin with a visit to Cinecittà si Mostra, the permanent exhibition of Istituto Luce Cinecittà. It opens the doors of the studios allowing the public to visit the exhibitions in the historic buildings. And the large outdoor sets, like that of the Ancient Rome.

You will then move to the center of Rome, where you visit the places chosen by the greatest directors to shoot their masterpieces.

You will follow the path of the Enlightened, following the itinerary of Professor Langdon, the main character of the film Angels and Demons directed and filmed by Ron Howard. From the Pantheon to the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo, the Basilica of San Pietro and the Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria up to the Fountain of the Four Rivers and Sant’Angelo Castle.

You will then see some of the places where the Oscar-winning for the best foreign film “La Grande Bellezza” by Paolo Sorrentino was shoot.

The experience will end by reliving the excitement of the Roman nights of a few decades ago, in the places of the famous film “La Dolce Vita” by Federico Fellini (Fontana di Trevi, via Vittorio Veneto, Piazza Barberini, Piazza del Quirinale, via dei Condotti).

You just have to prepare the camera and get inspiration by this enchanting experience.
